Solarcentury Africa is a UK-headquartered renewable energy specialist with a fully integrated approach. We work closely with our clients to deliver smart, efficient, and reliable clean energy solutions—using innovative design, advanced technology, and strong control systems to power businesses, communities, and investments in a sustainable and cost-effective way.

In March 2021, BB Energy acquired Solarcentury’s business in Africa in line with its energy transition. Solarcentury Africa sits under BB Energy’s renewable energy division, which seeks to drive its global renewable energy agenda. 

To date, Solarcentury Africa has developed, designed, installed, and delivered 19-multi-megawatt projects across Africa, in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, DRC, Malawi, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Eritrea, Zambia and Zimbabwe, all incorporating Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Solarcentury Africa is currently dedicated to delivering solar projects across the African continent. However, with growing interest from around the world, we’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of a new brand. This will better reflect our expanding global presence and enable us to explore a wider range of renewable energy projects beyond Africa.
