Solarcentury wishes STA a happy 40th birthday!
Everyone at Solarcentury sends our very best wishes to the Solar Trade Association (STA) on the occasion of its 40th anniversary.
In his speech at the Solar Trade Association’s 40th anniversary event at City Hall in London tonight, Solarcentury founder Dr. Jeremy Leggett will say:
“During the ups and many lows of UK government solar policy over the last 20 years, Solarcentury simply never took ‘no’ for an answer. Our campaigning helped to break down the barriers to the take-up of this fantastic technology and paved the way for the rapid growth of the UK solar sector since 2010.
“As we now look forward to a genuinely ‘subsidy-free’ UK market, the policy challenges have surely changed, but they haven’t gone away. The industry leadership role of the Solar Trade Association continues to be vital, a reason both for celebration this evening and for confidence in the sector’s future.”
