Solarcentury is set to sponsor this year’s Energyear conference in Medellin, Colombia.

Solarcentury is a key sponsor at this year’s Energyear conference in Medellin, Colombia. The two-day conference on 16th and 17th May, is a leading event to promote high level networking in the energy sector in Latin America.

Notable scheduled speakers include Carlos Barrera, CEO of Atlas Renewable Energy, Andrew Fraga Figueiredo, CEO Renovation Colombia and Astrid Alvarez, President of Grupo Energia de Bogota.

Closing the first day, Solarcentury’s Business Development Manager, Ignacio Lucas, will present an award to celebrate innovation in technology.

Attendees will vote for a winner through an event app, with the winner receiving public recognition and an award from Solarcentury.

Category nominee companies include Intelmotics by Helo (a virtual power plant); Solenium by ZenTrack (a solar tracking system and automatic cleaning of solar panels); Valopes (for digital transformation of resources in industry); and Lader Energy (for a predictive monitoring and maintenance system through artificial intelligence for solar Parks).

The event in Medellin is part of a wider Energyear Tour, featuring events in Buenos Aires, Medellin and Mexico City.

In recent years, the tour has established itself as a leading discussion forum for executives in Latin America’s energy sector, with the aim of promoting networking and collaboration opportunities among all components of the energy sector value chain.
