Seb Berry re-elected to Board of SolarPower Europe
Solarcentury Head of Public Affairs Seb Berry has been re-elected to the Board of SolarPower Europe (SPE) for a two-year term. Seb once again topped the voting in the directors section, with Dr. Christian Westermeier of Wacker Chemie AG winning the ballot for the vacant President position. Both Christian and Seb have campaigned over the last three years for an end to the EUs damaging measures against Chinese module and cell imports, underlining SPE’s clear stance in favour of a return to free trade.
In his remarks to Wednesday’s very well attended SPE AGM, Seb said: “Since 2014, I’ve been actively involved in supporting the excellent MIP lobbying work of the executive, attending meetings with DG Trade and others on behalf of the Association. My re-election will help to ensure continuity of lobbying on the important issues of concern to SPE members, and as part of a united Board, I’m looking forward to contributing to further successful growth for SPE in the coming years.”
